ITP Facade Revitalization

ITP Facade Revitalization

2022
Services: Sustainable Architecture, Engineering

Project Overview

The ITP Facade Revitalization project was a landmark initiative aimed at transforming the Innovation and Training Park’s main building into a beacon of modern, sustainable architecture. Our team was tasked with reimagining the building’s exterior to not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also significantly improve its energy performance and reduce its environmental footprint.

Our Approach

We employed an integrated design process, combining cutting-edge software simulations with material lifecycle analysis. Key interventions included:

  • High-Performance Glazing: Installation of triple-glazed windows with low-e coatings to minimize thermal loss.
  • Ventilated Rainscreen Cladding: A system using locally-sourced, recycled composite panels that improves thermal insulation and moisture management.
  • Integrated Photovoltaics: Seamlessly incorporating BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) into the southern facade to generate clean energy on-site.
  • Green Wall System: A vertical garden was designed for the western facade to provide natural cooling, enhance biodiversity, and improve air quality.

The project successfully merged aesthetic modernity with profound ecological responsibility, setting a new standard for building retrofits in the region.
